Factor Tree is a textual and typographical representation of the properties of unique factorization. How might we factor a number into words rather than into unique primes?
The Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic states that any integer can be uniquely represented as a product of prime numbers. Factor Tree chooses an arbitrary starting point — the number 108 — and systematically replaces the factorizations with words.
